The Challenge

Cerith was impressed: "XBert filled that gap. You've got, I think it's 51 different checks that happen every day anyway. But then you can also put your custom ones in, so we can really drill down with the client."

I uploaded about 80 clients from the start... By about quarter to five, I uploaded all my clients and then, yeah, I was in the software fixing problems I didn’t know I had.

Implementation

"I’ve got inexperienced bookkeepers with me. It tells them what to do and what problem it is to work on," Cerith explained.

"We can make sure that's reported on. And if that thing happens that keeps [the client] up at night, I can tell them the next day, essentially, or within the same day that there's a problem there."

XBert has also been great for catching mistakes and was able to get back over £500 for their client from a duplicate bill that was paid. Over 6 months ago.

Impact

Unity also uses XBert to make sure all client accounts meet a high standard, Cerith said. "All of our internal bookkeeping should have a health score of over 90%." This helps keep clients happy by ensuring their accounts are always accurate and up-to-date.

"He gave me read-only access to his Xero practice account. I was able to run the data through XBert to ensure the data was correct. This formed part of the due diligence on the financials of the sellers practice.” Cerith said.
